These are some famous artists!

©   Claude Monet was a French painter who lived from 1840 till 1926. He loved painting outside, directly from nature. This explains why he loved Impressionism. Together with Renoir and Manet (and some others), he developed Impressionism.

©   Auguste Renoir was a French painter who lived from 1841 till 1919. He studies together with Monet and he was one of the most successful Impressionists.

©   Edouard Manet was a French painter who lived from 1832 till 1883. He was admired by the Impressionists.

©   Edvard Munch was a Norwegian painter who lived from 1863 till 1944. He was influenced by Vincent van Gogh and he made intense and emotion-filled paintings. His best-known work is ‘The Scream’.

©   Vincent van Gogh was a Dutch who lived from 1853 till 1890. He was not very successful we he was alive, but now he is a very famous artists. Because of the fact that he had an argument with Gauguin (and he was suffering from metal illness), Vincent van Gogh cut of his own ear!
